Days of Service
ServeNebraska is honored to take the lead in encouraging service and community involvement among Nebraskans through involvement in Days of Service. These are days when citizens across the county take a day to give back to their community.
Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Day
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. believed in the possibility of creating the beloved community he envisioned. He believed that serving your neighbor should be second nature. Help honor MLK's memory by participating in this day of service each January.
National Volunteer Week/ ServeNebraska Week (April 21-27, 2024)
During this signature week, we ask Nebraskans to help continue and grow Nebraska's tradition of service by reflecting on our own service and finding new opportunities to serve our communities.
National Day of Service and Remembrance (September 11)
9/11 day is another national movement that encourages Americans to remember the tragedies of September 11, 2001, and pay tribute. Each year we strive to turn our sorrows into service and 9/11 into a day that inspires good.
