Step Forward Awards

Every day, volunteers step forward, going the extra mile in their communities. 

The Step Forward Awards recognize these outstanding people and groups for their time and service. Award winners and finalists are thoughtfully selected by our Governor in tribute to the significant contributions made within the state through volunteerism.

Honorees are notified in late summer and awards are presented at a ceremonial luncheon each fall. This year's Step Forward Awards Luncheon will be held October 4, 2024 in Omaha, Nebraska.
